Tennis considered low-risk activity by medical experts
Updated: Jul 23, 2020
As cities shut down again and enforce masks and social distancing, it's become increasingly unclear what activities are considered safe.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has provided a few guidelines. In addition, the Texas Medical Association created an easy-to-follow list of safe vs. unsafe activities. That chart, shown below, ranks low to high risk activities such as opening mail to eating at a restaurant. It has included tennis as one of the low risk activities.
Physicians on the TMA COVID-19 Task Force helped rate these activities. It is important to note that this chart is based on the riskiness of each activity while wearing a mask.
